Privacy Policy for the game “DeepSwing Golf”

This policy covers the game “DeepSwing Golf” (on the App Store “DeepSwing: Golf Game Simulator” for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, and on Google Play). Our app “DeepSwing” (swing analysis) and this website are covered by the general privacy policy. The German version of this policy is the binding one.
In short: there is no account, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. Only for the online leaderboards (switch them on or off in the settings) does the game send a random player ID, the player name you chose and your best scores to our server, so you can compete with golfers on every platform. The rest of your game is kept on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud. Achievements and online duels run through Apple Game Center.

2. Principles
- No account: you play without signing up with us. Only what the online leaderboards need goes to our server (see section 3); switched off, the game transmits nothing to Deep Platforms’ servers.
- No tracking, no advertising: no advertising ID (IDFA/Advertising ID), no fingerprinting, no third‑party analytics, crash or advertising SDKs.
- On the device: the swing, the ball flight and all calculations run on your device.
- Optional: iCloud sync, Game Center, the Apple Watch as the club (on a Mac or iPad through the iPhone) are only used when you turn them on or allow them in the system dialog.

On Android there is no Game Center, no iCloud sync and no Apple Watch; there Google Play Games takes care of signing in, leaderboards, achievements and your game on all your Android devices, and purchases go through Google Play. Without Play Games your game stays on the device. The online leaderboards work the same on every platform.
4. Ratings and links
After good moments the game may show the App Store’s rating dialog; the rating goes to Apple, and we only see ratings posted publicly. Links in the game (this policy, the terms of use, the DeepSwing app on the App Store) open your browser or the App Store; their privacy notices apply there, and for our website the general privacy policy.
5. Recipients and third countries
From the game we receive only the online leaderboards’ data. It is kept on our server in Germany (hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH as processor); we pass it on to no one. Other players see your player name, your scores and your platform. Apple (Game Center, iCloud, App Store) and Google (Google Play, Google Play Games) process data as independent controllers, partly outside the EU under their own safeguards: apple.com/legal/privacy, policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Deleting
- On the device: deleting the game deletes your progress and settings on that device.
- iCloud: the game in your iCloud belongs to your Apple Account and is managed by Apple.
- Game Center: sign out in Settings › Game Center; access and deletion through privacy.apple.com.
- Google Play Games: manage and delete your profile, achievements and saved games in the Play Games app or at myaccount.google.com.
- Online leaderboards: Settings › Online › “Delete my online data” deletes your name and all your scores on our server at once; switched off, the game sends nothing more. You can also write to us.
7. Your rights (Art. 15–22 GDPR)
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent. For the online leaderboards you delete your data right in the game or write to us; everything else usually concerns Apple or Google, and we are glad to help anyway: bo@deep-platforms.com.
8. Children
The game is rated 4+. The online leaderboards show player names that players chose themselves: a word filter hides offensive names, every name can be reported and hidden, and the online leaderboards can be switched off in the settings. Game Center follows Apple’s Family Sharing and Screen Time settings.
9. Changes
If the game gets features that send data to us (for example an unlock through a DeepSwing account), we will update this policy and the App Store information beforehand.
