Distances
Front, center, back. Big and at a glance.
Step onto the tee and DeepSwing knows the hole. The distance to the center of the green sits in big numbers in the corner, front and back above and below it. Tap anywhere on the map to see how far it is to that spot and from there to the pin. Below, you see what lies ahead: how far to the bunker or ditch and how far you need to carry it.

Green heat map
See which way the green breaks.
Tap the green and it opens in 3D, colored from low in blue to high in red, with arrows pointing downhill. The heights come from public laser scans of the terrain. So you can tell from the fairway which side of the pin you want to be on, and one tap moves the flag to where the pin is today.

Scorecard
Scorecard, games and your handicap.
Enter strokes, putts, fairways and sand shots with a few taps, for you and up to three playing partners. DeepSwing scores stroke play, Stableford, match play, four-ball and skins with each player's handicap, shows the leaderboard and turns the round into a scorecard you can share. From your rounds, the app estimates your handicap index under the World Handicap System.

The Apple Watch plays the same round with the watch's own GPS: distances, hazards, the green heat map and your score. Walk to the next tee and it moves to the next hole by itself. Your first round on the watch is free; after that it comes with every DeepSwing plan or the Apple Watch GPS plan.

Questions, answered
Is the golf GPS app really free?
Yes. On the iPhone, distances, hazards, the 3D map, green heat maps, the scorecard and the handicap are free, with no subscription, no trial and no round limit. You only need a plan for the Apple Watch after your first round, and to film and analyze your swings during the round.
How accurate are the distances?
As accurate as your iPhone's GPS and the course map. Under open sky an iPhone is usually within a few meters, and the app shows when the signal is weaker. Turn on Precise Location for DeepSwing in Settings. Greens and hazards come from OpenStreetMap and aerial imagery.
Is my golf course included?
DeepSwing knows more than 12,000 courses in over 70 countries, most of them in North America, the UK, Germany, France, Australia and New Zealand. Look for yours on the globe in the app. If its holes are not mapped yet, play it green by green or measure on the satellite view.
Can I use the app in a tournament?
Plain distances, yes, unless the committee bans distance-measuring devices with a local rule. Plays-like distances with elevation, club suggestions and the green heat map are not allowed in competition under Rule 4.3. Use them in practice and casual rounds.
Does DeepSwing work on the Apple Watch?
Yes, with the watch's own GPS: distances, hazards, the green heat map, scoring and automatic hole changes. Your first round is free; after that the watch comes with every DeepSwing plan or on its own as Apple Watch GPS.
Is golf GPS available on Android?
Golf GPS for Android and Wear OS is in the works and will come as an update to the same app. On Android today you get the AI swing analysis.
