Entering
One player, one tap, saved.
Tap a player at the top and count strokes and putts up, or take birdie, par or bogey with one tap. Fairway hit, sand shots and penalty strokes come in if you want to track them. Every tap is saved at once; Save takes you to the next hole. On the Apple Watch you count with plus and minus.

Enter each player's handicap index. DeepSwing hands out the strokes by the holes' stroke index and keeps score live: gross and net in stroke play, Stableford points, who is how many holes up in match play, the better ball in four-ball, and skins. After every hole the leaderboard shows who leads.

Your index, from your rounds.
Enter the course rating and slope of your tee from the club's scorecard. Then DeepSwing turns every round into a score differential: adjusted gross score minus course rating, times 113, divided by slope, with net double bogey as the most per hole. Your index is the average of your best 8 of your last 20 rounds, as in the World Handicap System. It starts from the handicap in your profile.

Questions, answered
Is this an official handicap?
No. DeepSwing estimates your index by the rules of the World Handicap System, so you can see where you are heading. Your official handicap is kept by your club or golf association.
How does the app calculate the handicap index?
Every round with a course rating and slope gives a score differential: (adjusted gross score minus course rating) times 113 divided by slope. Net double bogey is the most that counts per hole. The index is the average of the best 8 of the last 20 differentials.
How does Stableford work in the app?
Each player gets strokes from their handicap and the holes' stroke index. Net par is worth 2 points, every stroke better one more, net bogey one point. The app adds them up after every hole.
Can I play match play with friends?
Yes, with up to four players: singles match play with strokes from the handicap difference, four-ball with the better ball per team, or skins. At the end, the result like 3 & 2 is on the scorecard.
What does the scorecard cost?
Nothing. The scorecard, game formats and handicap are free on iPhone, like all of DeepSwing's golf GPS.
