Golf rangefinder app
The rangefinder in your pocket.
A laser measures what you aim at. DeepSwing knows the whole course: the distance to the center of the green, to the front and back, to every bunker and over every water hazard, and with a tap to any spot on the map, even where you cannot see from the fairway. With GPS, no aiming, free on iPhone.
Free on iPhone, no subscription, no round limit. Apple Watch: your first round is free. Coming to Android

01
Find your course.
Nearby via GPS, by name or on the globe. Then 9 or 18 holes.
-
02
Front, middle, back.
The distance to the green in big numbers, plus bunkers, water and how far you have to carry.
-
03
See where the green breaks.
The green heat map colors the heights from blue to red, arrows show the slope.
-
04
Score and handicap.
A scorecard for up to four players, Stableford and match play, your handicap index under the WHS.
To the green
Front, center, back and how it plays.
The distance to the center of the green sits big in the corner, front and back above and below it. Next to it: how the distance plays with the elevation change, and the club that fits your handicap or the distances you measured.

Any spot
Tap the map, it is measured.
Tap a spot on the fairway to see how far it is and from there to the pin. In measure mode, a second tap measures on from there: made for layups, doglegs and courses whose holes are not on the map yet.
- To the target and on to the pin
- Plan layups and doglegs
- Free measuring on the satellite view
Lock Screen
The distance without unlocking your iPhone.
During the round, the hole sits on the Lock Screen as a Live Activity: distances to the front, center and back, how it plays, your club and your strokes. Change score and hole right there with plus and minus.
- Distances on the Lock Screen
- Score with plus and minus
- Next hole with a tap
GPS or laser
What an app does, what a laser does.
A laser measures the pin to the yard when you can see it. GPS shows you what you cannot see: blind greens, bunkers behind a ridge, the carry over water and which way the green breaks. Many golfers carry both: the app for the plan, the laser for the pin.
- GPS: blind targets and hazards
- Laser: the pin in sight
- Best of all: both

Questions, answered
How accurate is a golf rangefinder app?
As accurate as the iPhone's GPS and the course map, usually within a few meters under open sky. A laser is more precise to the pin; the app shows every spot instead, including the ones you cannot see.
Does the app measure the elevation change?
Yes. From the course's terrain data, DeepSwing calculates how a distance plays uphill or downhill. In competition this is not allowed under Rule 4.3, so use the plain distance there.
Can I use the app in a tournament?
Plain distances, yes, unless the committee bans distance-measuring devices with a local rule. Elevation, club suggestions and the green heat map are for practice and casual rounds.
Does the app replace a laser rangefinder?
For most shots, yes: greens, hazards, layups and blind targets. If you want the pin to the yard, add a laser.
What does the rangefinder cost?
Nothing. Every distance is free on the iPhone, with no subscription. On the Apple Watch your first round is free.
